“ON YOUR FEET” January/February 2019
Great show dancers! You should be very proud of yourselves!
Reminder that dance fees are due the first class of every month. A $20 late fee will be added to your account if paid after the 10th of the month. (January late fees will apply if not paid by January 18th)
NO SCHOOL = NO CLASSES Please note that there are no classes when school is out for holidays or other breaks. Please make plans to have your child(ren) make up any missed classes by attending classes at any time, at any site, to any age appropriate class. This is a great time to have your child try another style of dance!
Here are the dates in January & February when there are holidays/no classes:
Monday, January 21 Friday February 15th Monday February 18th.
Please read our policies page and FAQs page for more info.
REMEMBER...WE ARE NOT SENDING HOME PAPER NEWSLETTERS ANYMORE so please visit this website regularly or look for emails from us as well.
If you want to order dance shoes or clothing, you can go to Bubbling Wells, Room 54 on Tuesdays or Wednesdays after school to get sized and pay for your order. We will order at the end of every month.
SHOW DATE: Saturday, June 1, 2019. Please put this date on your calendar! The rehearsal & recital are held at Rancho Mirage High School on the same day.
The theme of our June Show is “The Greatest Show”. It is a circus theme! In an effort to do a bit of costume re-cycling, here is the plan for costumes. With the exception of the Mini Feet classes (who will be our Elephants) and Snazzy Feet (Ramalama Animal Costumes), ALL OTHER DANCERS are to go through their past costumes and pick one and create your own circus performer or animal. Keep in mind that you have to have freedom to move in your costume for each class that you are in. You will wear one costume FOR THE ENTIRE SHOW! This gives everyone an opportunity to do fun make-up and hair if you’d like. The only changes will be shoe changes.
PLEASE NOTE: All costumes must be approved by us BEFORE the show as we do not allow bare midriffs or other revealing costumes. The easiest way to get costume approval is to take a photograph, front and back, of you in your costume of choice and show it to your teacher or text it to me.
If you are a newer dancer with us and do not have any costumes, or if you have outgrown your costumes, we have a plan!
I will organize a day when you can bring any outgrown costumes to our “COSTUME DAY”. If you donate a costume, you can pick out a costume that fits you in return.
If you are in need of a costume, they will be available for either $10 for a donated costume or $20 for a new costume!
There will also be a few changes that will be implemented at the June show. We are going to change the time that our show will begin from 7:00pm to 6:00pm. Hopefully this will enable all of you to stay FOR THE ENTIRE SHOW! That means that our rehearsal will start and hour earlier as well, at 9:00am.
Ticket prices will also increase from here on out in an effort to cover the expenses involved in paying for the use of the theater and for the custodial, security and tech help that we pay for. (Preferred $20 and General $10) I wanted to give you plenty of advanced notice so that you can plan ahead for the increase.
One last change for this show only; Each dancer that will be in the recital will pay a $10 recital fee. This will allow us to provide an amazing spectacle!
